Alaida Chaidez is a college student currently attending Northeastern Illinois University. Alaida’s work tackles themes of uncanny nature such violence and horror. Various video games, comic books, and TV shows inspire her works. The usage of color schemes that are based on the blue and purple hues is a recurring design decision throughout her art. Her works are open to interpretation so that the viewer can create their own conclusions about the work. Her work has been exhibited in galleries throughout the Northeastern Illinois University campus.
